Information & Conditions

The member’s Winter Tournament finals will be held on Saturday 4 February and Sunday 5 February. Singles will be date driven up the semi-finals, Doubles up the quarter-finals.

Subject to draw sizes all junior events will be scheduled over the weekend. Tennis entrants (adult & junior) need to be available on both Saturday and Sunday of the finals weekend and will be expected to play at scheduled times. All other adult rounds will be date driven up the quarter-finals.

Plate (or consolation) draws will be made for all events. Consolation (plate) draws are open to those playing and losing their first match. Plate draws will be made at the conclusion of the first or second round depending on draw sizes.

For date driven matches it will be the responsibility of both players/pairs to arrange matches by the due date.

OFF PEAK members are welcome to participate in the tournament. Guest fees will be waived for the tournament weekends. Prevailing guest fees will be required for any date driven matches played during PEAK times. OFF PEAK players should offer some availability during peak times.

Entry Conditions

• Adult tennis entries close on Wed 19 October 2011
• Junior entries close on Wed 18 January 2012
• Age date for Vets events is 1 January 2012. For juniors LTA Winter convention will be followed.
• Adult entry is limited to three events.
• Junior entry is limited to two junior events. Juniors may enter additionally up to two adult events, but not more than three events in total.
• Players participating in multiple events are advised that should a scheduling conflict arise they may be required to withdraw from a conflicting event.
• Any variation of number of events entered is at the discretion of the tournament referee.
• Small draws may be merged (this may include girls with boys in junior events).
• Balls will be provided for matches on tournament weekends. Players must provide their own balls for pre-qualifying matches.
• Players are obliged to play on the court specified by the tournament desk and be prepared to play on Indoor, Hard Court or Astroturf.
• Entry fee’s are £12 per adult tennis event (doubles £6 per player). £6 per junior tennis event (doubles £3 per player).
• Late entries may be accepted subject to draw sizes.
• All draws will be submitted to the LTA for ratings.

Availability

Players should:-

• Be available for all tournament days (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Be prepared and able to arrange date driven matches at mutually agreeable times.
• Register at designated times at the tournament desk.

Players may be defaulted:-

• If not presenting within 30 minutes of registration times
• If not presenting within 15 minutes of being called by the tournament desk.
• Failing to play date driven matches by the due date.

Date driven Matches

To avoid schedule congestion date driven matches will be required for the following events:-

• Adult Singles to semi-finals, all doubles (Up to round of 8)
• Juniors (Up to round of 16)
